Elbi began his career as an electrical apprentice, then graduated as an Electrical Engineering Technologist (CET), registered with ASET in Alberta. He has worked with leading firms including Stantec Engineering and various electrical and mechanical contractors, and has owned multiple businesses in the electrical industry, including a control and automation panel manufacturing facility.

Today, Elbi offers his expertise to contractors looking to grow. He helps electrical, mechanical, and plumbing subcontractors find work, evaluate and estimate projects, review bid packages and contracts, and navigate the full project management process while guiding the next generation to blend new technology with proven field experience. He also connects general contractors with vetted, quality-proven subtrades who bring real value to every project.

The Electrical Contractors Association of Alberta (ECAA) represents electrical contractors province-wide, advocating for professional standards, fair labour practices, and regulatory engagement. ECAA administers the Provincial Electrical Contractor (PEC) designation in Alberta.
Elbi has been a registered PEC member since 1997, having served as an Elected Board Member in 2020 and 2021, and continues as Secretary and Committee Member.
The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET) is the regulatory body governing the Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation. ASET upholds rigorous standards of education, professional practice, and ethics to protect the public and advance the engineering technology profession across Alberta.
Elbi registered with ASET in 1997, earning his CET designation as an Electrical Engineering Technologist.
